Inspiration and Reflections for the School Leader

Inspiration and Reflections for the School Leader is a powerful tool designed to encourage school leaders, no matter what they are going through, to be prayerful, focused and reflective. Each scripture is matched with a brief poem, scenario, and prayer. Each scripture is a quick dose of faith and encouragement to get you through the day. At the end of each segment, you can reflect and connect so that you can have the motivation to keep going strong.Psalm 121: ”I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord., which made heaven and earth.”

  • "It was a very informative and well put together training. I believe it will really open people’s minds to help them empathize and see other’s lives through a new lens.“

  • “We worked with Dr. Turney this year on the creation of our Diversity and Inclusion plan. She did a wonderful job keeping us focused on the work and collecting data to drive our plan. Dr. Turney’s knowledge and professionalism were outstanding.”

Tim Ackermann, Kings City Schools Superintendent

  • “The Athens City School District had been making steady progress on our work towards student equity, however we had reached a point where it was clear we needed to reassess our goals and initiatives and put together an updated plan. Dr. Turney has been able to quickly work with our team to garner specific information about our District, review our daily practices and policies, and provide guidance towards the creation of our updated equity plan. Having a neutral third-party complete the review provided a new perspective that brought clarity to our work. We have been very fortunate to have a professional with Dr. Turney’s experience and background to help us continue to make progress on our equity initiatives.”

Dr. Thomas Gibbs, Athens City Schools Superintendent

  • "Dr. Turney is a remarkable resource and wealth of knowledge. Her passion and commitment in making an educational difference in the area of cultural competence and inclusion is beyond measure. As a concerned parent in the NWLSD, I was impressed with Dr. Turney’s leadership with the diversity initiatives for the school district. As the Senior Director of Education of a leading cultural institution, I was equally impressed with Dr. Turney’s attention to detail and professionalism as the facilitator for the institution’s educator workshops. Through her insight she will enhance any project or objective, hence I highly recommend Dr. Turney!”
